Aran Island Ferries has launched a brand-new route from Galway city centre to the largest of the Aran Islands, Inishmore. Setting off from The Docks in Galway’s city centre, passengers can enjoy an audio guide during their 90-minute trip to Inishmore.

Day tours provide a shuttle bus service from Galway city to Rossaveal ferry terminal, this scenic coastal journey takes approximately 45 minutes. You can also choose to drive from Galway city to Rossaveal Ferry Terminal and there is a daily charge of €7 for carparking.

The ferry crossing from Rossaveal to Inishmore takes about 40 minutes.

Most people travel to the Aran Islands by passenger ferry but you can also travel by air with Aer Arann. The flight takes 15 minutes and all 3 islands are serviced by Aer Arann. Flights leave from Connemara Regional Airport which is a 35-minute drive (30 km) from the Park House Hotel in Galway city.

One of the best day tours from Galway city is to drive to Doolin, take the ferry to one of the Aran Islands from Doolin Pier and on your return to Doolin take the Cliffs of Moher Cruise. This is a very popular day tour with guests from the Park House Hotel.
